The SCGGA was founded in 1981 to help growers keep up with the changing market place. We are a gathering of commercial greenhouse growers, educators, retailers, and other interested individuals. We are here to help one another with growing techniques, marketing strategies,  and the overall expansion of our industry.

The objectives of our Association are to advance the interest of the floriculture industry through education, research, and marketing improvements; to maintain integrity, good faith, good will, and the just principles of business in the  industry; and, to strive in every way to promote the best interest of its members.

Our newsletter, published every other month, will keep you up to date in research, business management, and industry activities throughout South Carolina and the  United States. Our membership list helps members help one another by sharing ideas.


Problem solving -- You cannot beat shared experiences. Have you ever had a greenhouse related problem that you were not able to solve? It's likely that a fellow member has experienced the same problem, solved it, and will share its solution  with you. Intra-Association fellowship is promoted.

Continuing Education -- Necessary for you to be competitive. The SCGGA presents short courses highlighting the greenhouse grower via informative presentations on specific crops and state of the art greenhouse cultural practices.

Industry Promotion -- Grower groups develop marketing and promotion strategies that encourage the public to purchase, grow, and enjoy our foliage and flowering plants.
